Haris Rahić (b. 1994, Novi Pazar) is a contemporary painter based in Serbia. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, graduating in 2017 before completing his master's and doctoral studies under the mentorship of professors Radomir Knežević and Goran Jović.
His doctoral exhibition Fluids: Abstracted Dimensions of Objecthood was presented at the Kolarac Endowment Gallery in Belgrade in 2025 — sixteen oil on canvas works exploring movement, energy, and the unpredictable transformation of form. Each piece emerged through what he describes as a dialogue with material: guided not by rigid intention but by the fluid relationship between control and spontaneity, built up in layers through phases of reflection, destruction, and renewal.
Working in oil on canvas, he builds each painting through extended cycles of layering, revision, and deliberate destruction — surfaces altered, earlier marks buried or reclaimed as the work demands. The studio, for Rahić, is less a place of production than one of sustained conversation between intention and material.
